Gadget Show Live Returns for Second Year

Channel 5’s popular technology show held its first ‘Live’ event last year. Although set during a poor economic climate, they still managed to trade over £11 million worth of gadgetry. In an even bigger venue (still in the Birmingham NEC), and with more exhibitors and a ticket capacity of 50,000, this year’s event is going to be bigger and better than ever.
It’s not just an exhibition; users can navigate Segways around a course, have a go with the latest phones on the market and try their hand at some hi-tech hoovering. Exhibitors include Sony, Panasonic, LG, Dyson and Blackberry.
Event magazine editor Jeremy King said:
“Upper Street Events’ innovative approach to producing first class events has been rewarded with the company scooping four awards at the Event Awards 2009. The Gadget Show Live, which was launched in the middle of a recession but proved to be a huge success, is an example of the company’s ability to produce excellent events.”
